Peces de Ciudad Social Wine donates 10.500 € to IR Sant Pau!

Peces de Ciudad Social Wine has donated a total of €10,500 to the Sant Pau Research Institute divided into two projects related to oncological diseases:

  • €2,000 will be used to finance our research project on Music Therapy in onco-haematological patients admitted to Sant Pau Hospital.
  • €8,500 will help finance research projects in onco-hematological patients within our transversal program of Advanced Therapies.

The l’Arriarem charity race raises more than 90.000 €!

Almost 2,500 people have participated in the Arriarem de Fontcoberta.

Last November 12, Fontcoberta hosted l’Arriarem, a solidarity march and race to raise money for the research of Sant Pau, in memory of Marc Riera i Castellà, who died a few months ago at the Hospital de la Santa Creu and Sant Pau at only twenty years old and due to Ewing’s Sarcoma.

Given Marc’s involvement in sport -among others, he was a referee, a water polo player at Club Natació Banyoles, and very fond of football-, his family decided to organize this charity run to collect donations for the Ewing research carried out by the Sant Pau Research Institute.

The reform of the Patronage Law is approved

The Council of Ministers approved last Tuesday, December 19, a Royal Decree-Law amending the Patronage Law in force for 21 years.

The novelties introduced by the reform of the patronage law in regulation 49/2002 are the following:

  • Deductions go from 35% to 40% applicable in general, both for individuals and legal entities.
  • To improve the deduction percentage, the number of financial years in which the same entity must make donations is reduced from 4 to 3 years. Individuals can go to 45% and legal entities to 50%.
  • The amount that can be deducted for micro patronage goes from 150 to 250 euros (this is the basis on which 80% of the donation can be deducted from personal income tax).
  • The list of economic activities that can benefit from the exemption is extended: socio-employment integration and education for people with high abilities are included, for example.
