bout the Unit / Group
Research within the Dermatology Group aims not only to develop new drugs and more effective and safer therapies, but also to identify new causal factors to improve the prevention of these conditions.
The Dermatology Clinical Trials Group focuses on translational research (in collaboration with the Translational Medicine Research Group for Inflammatory Diseases) into inflammation-mediated dermatoses, including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, urticaria, vitiligo and alopecia areata. It also studies the epidemiology, genetics, AI-assisted imaging and treatment of different types of skin cancer and their precursors (melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and actinic keratosis), as well as epidemiological research into cutaneous lymphoma.
Essential requirements
- Minimum required qualification: Higher Vocational Education (Higher Vocational Training Programme / FPII) or equivalent; or more than 4 years of demonstrable experience in the specific area of work.
- Oral and written proficiency in the two official languages of Catalonia or, failing this, the selected candidate must demonstrate, or undertake to acquire, within a period of no more than one year, an adequate command of the two official languages of Catalonia.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
The following will be valued
- Experience in clinical trials.
- Experience with databases.
- Experience in the processing of biological samples.
- Valid certification in Good Clinical Practice, IATA and C-SSRS.
- Training in diagnostic imaging.
- Upper-intermediate level of English.
Duties
- Knowledge of the protocols of the clinical trials in which the candidate participates, including sample processing methodology and participant monitoring (vital signs and treatment).
- Collection, processing, custody and shipment of biological samples according to the requirements of the clinical trial.
- Collection of samples for pharmacokinetic studies involving clinical trial participants.
- Recording of sample collection, as well as sample collection and storage parameters for research samples.
- Support to the monitor during initiation and monitoring visits.

- Temporary replacement contract.
- Annual working time of 1,627.50 hours (37.5 hours/week).
- Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
