About the Unit / Research Group

The Memory Unit at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona is a multidisciplinary team within the Neurology Department. We specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and research of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. Our unit combines clinical care with cutting-edge research to improve early detection, monitor disease progression and develop new therapeutic strategies.

With internationally recognised research programmes, advanced biomarker platforms and strong collaborations, we are committed to advancing precision medicine and providing patients and their families with the highest quality of care.

Essential Requirements

Minimum qualification required: Higher Vocational Education and Training qualification (Advanced Vocational Training Certificate/FP II) or equivalent.
At least 4 years of documented professional experience.
Oral and written proficiency in both official languages of Catalonia or, alternatively, the selected candidate must demonstrate or commit to acquiring adequate knowledge of both official languages of Catalonia within a maximum period of one year.
Intermediate proficiency in office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Current employment relationship with the institution.

Desirable Qualifications

Knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases, biomedicine or neuroscience.
Previous experience working with neuroimaging data (preprocessing and/or analysis).
General knowledge of descriptive and/or inferential statistical analysis.
Proficiency in Linux environments.
Programming skills (e.g. R, Python, MATLAB or Bash).

Responsibilities

Support the preprocessing and quality control of neuroimaging data from the Memory Unit.
Provide daily support in the administration of the computing cluster.
Assist with statistical analyses of neuroimaging and clinical data.
Support the development and maintenance of scripts to automate neuroimaging data processing, quality control and analysis.
Provide basic technical support and guidance on the use of neuroimaging analysis tools within the Memory Unit.
Perform any other technical tasks that may be required by the research group.

We Offer

Permanent employment contract linked to the research line "Multimodal Neuroimaging in Neurodegenerative Diseases".
Annual working hours of 1,627.5 hours (37.5 hours per week).
Salary in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Position within the Neurobiology of Dementia Research Group.
