About the Unit / Group

The Coordination of Services and Infrastructure Unit is responsible for maintaining order, cleanliness, safety, and the proper functioning of all areas and facilities of the Research Institute (IR). The Unit also proposes and advises on strategic investment lines in construction works and supplies within the framework of the overall strategy. It initiates projects, defines technical requirements, and monitors compliance with works contracts. In addition, the Unit is responsible for applying energy efficiency and sustainability criteria and for managing the Institute’s utility contracts (electricity, water, gases). It coordinates the acquisition and relocation of furniture within IR buildings and urban furniture, and oversees the allocation of spaces among the teams and research groups within the Institute. The Unit is also responsible for warehouse management and inventory control of the Institute’s equipment.

Essential requirements

  • Minimum qualification required Intermediate Professional Studies Training (Intermediate Training Cycle / FPI)
  • Oral and written knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia. Level C of Catalan or, failing that, the selected candidate will have to demonstrate, or promise to obtain, within a period not exceeding one year, a correct knowledge of the two official languages in Catalonia.
  • Intermediate knowledge of office tools (excel, word, power point, etc). Skills will be valued
  • Knowledge of audiovisual equipment connections and installation.
  • Advanced level of Excel.

Functions

Security

  • Management and monitoring of installations and repairs of IR security and surveillance equipment.
  • Access control to spaces and facilities.
  • Locker control.
  • Processing vehicle access requests to the premises.
  • Key requests and monitoring of key distribution.
  • Monitoring of lockers. Spaces
  • Management, acquisition, and distribution of furniture and blinds according to IR needs and related contracts.
  • Support in coordinating with different IR areas involved in the creation of new Institute spaces. Reception
  • Replacement of reception staff when necessary, due to holidays or sick leave, assuming the corresponding duties. Administration
  • Administrative tasks within the Unit and administrative support to the Head of the Unit. Offered
  • Indefinite contract,
  • Annual workday of 1.627,50 hours (37,5 hours/week)
  • Remuneration according collective agreement
