About the Unit / Group
The Information Systems Unit is responsible for ensuring that the organization's IT systems are reliable, secure and efficient for all users.
Technology Infrastructure Management
The Information Systems Unit is responsible for managing the organization's entire IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, computer equipment, mobile devices and operating systems.
Technical Support
The Unit provides technical support to internal users, helping them resolve issues and technical difficulties related to the use of information technologies. This ranges from troubleshooting basic problems to providing advanced support for specific applications and systems.
Information Security
The Information Systems Unit is responsible for ensuring the security and protection of the organization's data and sensitive information. This includes defining and implementing security policies, conducting audits, managing access control, performing regular backups, and responding to cybersecurity threats and security incidents.
Systems Development and Implementation
The Unit works closely with other departments to identify business needs and information system requirements. Based on these requirements, it develops, implements and maintains the IT systems, applications and technological solutions required by the different departments and organizational processes.
IT Project Management
The Information Systems Unit plays a key role in managing the organization's technology projects. This includes planning, coordinating and overseeing the implementation of new technologies, system upgrades, data migrations and other projects related to the organization's IT infrastructure.
In summary, the Information Systems Unit is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all the organization's IT systems and technological infrastructure, while providing technical support and solutions to internal users.
Essential requirements
- Minimum qualification: Higher Vocational Education and Training (Advanced Vocational Training Certificate / Higher National Diploma equivalent) obtained within the last three years.
- Oral and written proficiency in both official languages of Catalonia. Applicants must hold a Level C Catalan certificate or, alternatively, commit to acquiring an adequate command of both official languages within one year of appointment.
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Skills will be valued
- Experience in biomedical or healthcare research environments.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and information security standards within the healthcare sector.
- Experience participating in user support, incident management or process improvement projects.
- Experience with the following technologies:
- Active Directory
- Microsoft 365
- GLPI
- MeshCentral
- Experience working in organizations with multiple sites or locations.
- Knowledge of desktop support and systems administration (Windows, Linux and macOS).
- Ability to prepare technical documentation and user guides.
- Participation in digital transformation or process automation projects. Immediate availability to join the organization.
Functions
- Provide first-level technical support to users via telephone, email, chat or in person.
- Register, classify, prioritise and monitor support tickets using the IT service management tool.
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software and peripheral issues.
- Provide support for operating systems, user accounts, email services, printers and office productivity applications.
- Resolve basic network issues, including connectivity, VPN access, shared resources and user permissions.
- Deliver remote technical support and perform first-level troubleshooting.
- Escalate complex incidents to second-level support or the Systems Team when appropriate.
- Document implemented solutions, update the knowledge base and ensure proper ticket closure and traceability.
- Participate in basic systems administration tasks, including user account provisioning and deprovisioning, onboarding processes, access management and workstation preparation.
- Assist with preventive maintenance, IT asset inventory and workstation deployment.
Offered
- Training contract for obtaining professional practice (Contrato formativo para la obtención de la práctica profesional).
- Annual working schedule of 1,627.5 hours (37.5 hours per week).
