2026/112: 1 AUL – Laboratory Assistant
Call for applications for an AUL – Laboratory Assistant position within the Inflammatory Diseases Research Group. Application deadline: 31 July 2026 at 3:00 p.m.
About the Unit / Group
The Inflammatory Diseases Research Group is a multidisciplinary team whose main research objectives are:
- To study the aetiopathogenic mechanisms of immune-mediated diseases in order to develop tools that support progress towards more personalised medicine.
- To identify biomarkers of response to immunotherapy treatments in cancer and chronic inflammatory diseases, with the aim of selecting the most appropriate drugs and identifying the patient populations most likely to benefit from them.
- To analyse the role of the immune system in the pathogenesis of autoimmune processes, immunodeficiencies and immunosenescence.
Essential requirements
- Minimum qualification required: intermediate vocational training qualification —Intermediate-Level Vocational Training, FPI or an equivalent qualification—.
- Oral and written knowledge of both official languages of Catalonia. Candidates who do not meet this requirement must demonstrate or commit to acquiring an adequate command of both official languages of Catalonia within a maximum period of one year.
- Intermediate knowledge of office software tools —Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.—.
The following will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of functional immunology techniques, including the stimulation of T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes and monocytes, as well as experience working with different cell lines.
- Previous training placements or experience in the field of immunology.
- Experience in cell separation and the determination of soluble analytes.
Duties
The selected candidate will carry out, among others, the following duties:
- Processing and preservation of biological samples.
- Application of laboratory techniques and quality-control procedures.
- Support with technical laboratory tasks.
- Management, preparation and maintenance of laboratory materials and supplies.
What we offer
- Temporary contract due to production-related circumstances, to cover tasks arising from a temporary and unforeseen increase in the activity of the Inflammatory Diseases Research Group.
- Annual working time of 1,627.50 hours —37.5 hours per week—.
- Salary in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
- Appointment within the Inflammatory Diseases Research Group.
