The emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the ensuing pandemic has driven a vast number of COVID-19 research projects, ranging from effects during pregnancy and childbirth, to the genetic or individual factors that determine its severity, the physiological mechanisms of infection, the immune response, and clinical trials with new drugs. This program brings together knowledge with a common goal: to understand in order to combat the disease.
