The aim of our research group is to investigate and improve the use of medications and optimize patient outcomes through research and evidence-based practice.
Main Lines of Research
- Observatory of medicines and therapeutic innovation (Feliu Ribera, Anna).
- Emergencies, critical care, and gender research (Ruiz Ramos, Jesus).
- Respiratory care, environmental sustainability, clinical epidemiology, and public health (Garin Escriva, Noe).
- Ambulatory care and telemedicine (Pages Puigdemont, Neus)
- Pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics, and compounding (Feliu Ribera, Anna).
Scientific Challenges
- Evaluate the impact on effectiveness and safety of pharmacological treatments in different pharmaceutical care programs: clinical pharmacokinetics, health education for outpatients, medicine reconciliation and identification, and prevention of medication-related problems.
- Evaluate the impact of artificial nutrition on the clinical evolution of patients.
- Study the stability of cytostatics in different conditions of use.
- Predict response to anti-tumor treatment in several tumorous processes.
- Develop focal adhesion inhibitors, e.g., antitumour agents.
- Actively cooperate in independent clinical trials performed in our institute.
