Our research group conducts clinical trials to assess new therapeutic strategies, the effectiveness of target treatments, and the detection of residual disease, and research studies to evaluate prognostic and predictive molecular biomarkers, the molecular mechanisms of action and resistance to drugs, and pharmacogenetics of cancer. We have expanded our research group to include trials based in radiopharmacs and theratognosis, making nuclear medicine a key strategic collaborator in our trials. We aim to identify minimal residual disease, improve individualization of therapy, work in translational research, and collaborate to expand the armamentarium against cancer.

Scientific Challenges
- To increase our budget dedicated to translational research, increasing the number of projects.
- To increase our cooperation with other research groups in the IR and with the university.
- To increase our participation in stable cooperative research groups in cancer (CIBER, RETICS, etc).
- To improve our success rate in national and international competitive grant calls and postdoctoral and clinical research fellowships.
- To promote translational research in cancer in cooperation with other internal and external research groups.
- To develop new drugs in phase 0/1 studies.
