About the Unit / Group
The Movement Disorders Unit, integrated within the Neurology Department of Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, carries out leading clinical, teaching and research activities in the field of Parkinson’s disease, atypical parkinsonism, Huntington’s disease, tremor and other movement disorders.
The Unit actively participates in national and international clinical trials, particularly those focused on the development of disease-modifying treatments, and promotes high-quality translational research aimed at advancing the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions.
Essential requirements
- Minimum qualification required: university degree in a field equivalent to a former licenciatura, engineering or architecture degree; university degree of ≥ 300 ECTS corresponding to Level 3 (Master’s level); university degree plus a Master’s degree (≥ 300 ECTS); or a former diploma, technical engineering or technical architecture qualification plus a Level 3 Master’s degree.
- Oral and written knowledge of both official languages of Catalonia. If the selected candidate does not meet this requirement, they must demonstrate or commit to acquiring an adequate command of both official languages of Catalonia within a period not exceeding one year.
- Advanced level of English.
- Advanced knowledge of office software tools —Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.—.
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrated previous interest —conference presentations, publications, etc.— in the field of movement disorders.
Duties
The selected candidate will perform, among others, the following duties:
- Participation in research projects.
- Recruitment and follow-up of participants.
- Database management and analysis of results.
We offer
- Temporary contract funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, under grant reference ICI22/00082, and financed through European funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
- Annual working time of 1,627.50 hours (37.5 hours/week).
- Salary in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
- Appointment to the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Research Group.
