Laboratory of Immune Response Analysis

Presentation

Lab-IRA is an immunology laboratory specialized in immune response and the analysis of the cellular and molecular composition of complex biological fluids using ex vivo and in vitro systems for research and monitoring of diseases, studying mechanisms of action, and preclinical drug development.

Services

This laboratory offers consulting services and identification/validation of diagnostic and immunotherapy response biomarkers based on in-depth knowledge of cellular and molecular immunological mechanisms that occur in many immune-mediated diseases.

As experienced scientists, we also provide the development of ex vivo and in vitro experimental models, as well as the design and execution of customized immunological assays, along with standard assays adapted to address any problem involving the immune system.
In this context, we quantify the production of different classes of antibodies against specific antigens. In particular, we can determine the levels of immunogenicity generated in response to biological treatments.

Services may also include the study of the cellular composition of complex biological fluids (blood, plasma, pleural fluids, synovial fluids, sputum, bronchoalveolar lavages, ascites, etc.), the identification and quantification of extracellular microvesicles (exosomes and microparticles), cytokine production (intracellular, production, and individual secretion), as well as specific functions of different leukocyte subpopulations.
For these services, multiparametric cytometry (up to 16 parameters) will be applied with statistical analysis incorporating machine learning algorithms for visualization based on stochastic proximity embedding (PCA, t-SNE, SPIDER, etc.)

Results will be analyzed using innovative statistical techniques such as correlograms, clustering, multivariate analysis, etc.
