We mark World Cancer Day with optimism and hope that we will continue to make progress in our understanding of how to treat this disease.
On Wednesday, February 5, at 6 pm, Eva Miranda and Álvaro Diez, pre-doctoral researchers from the Oncogenesis and Antitumour Drugs Research Group at IR Sant Pau, will give a talk at the Guinardó Civic Centre entitled ‘How do current cancer treatments work?’.
In this talk, we will learn what cancer is, how it develops and why it varies so greatly. We will also find out about the main treatments available and how they work: from the most conventional, such as radiotherapy, to the most innovative, such as immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
Would you like to discover some of the latest advances in research?
